Here’s Pioneer Woman’s Apple Dumplings recipe, which is super easy and delicious!
Ingredients:
• 2 whole Granny Smith apples
• 2 (8 oz) cans crescent roll dough
• 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
• 1 ½ cups sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 can (12 oz) Mountain Dew soda
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven: Set to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Prepare Apples: Peel, core, and cut apples into 8 wedges each.
3. Wrap Apples: Roll each apple wedge in a crescent roll, starting from the wider end. Place them in the greased baking dish.
4. Make Sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan, then add sugar and stir gently (do not completely dissolve). Stir in vanilla and pour over the dumplings.
5. Add Soda: Pour the Mountain Dew around (not over) the dumplings. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
6. Bake: Bake for 35-40 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
7. Serve: Best served warm with vanilla ice cream!
