Olive Oil Dip with Warm Bread

This simple yet flavorful olive oil dip pairs perfectly with warm, crusty bread for a delicious appetizer.

Ingredients:

For the Dip:

• ½ cup extra virgin olive oil

• 2 cloves garlic, minced or grated

• 1 tsp balsamic vinegar (optional)

• ½ tsp dried oregano

• ½ tsp dried basil

• ½ tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

• ¼ tsp salt (or to taste)

• ¼ tsp black pepper

• ¼ tsp crushed fennel seeds (optional)

• 2 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

For the Bread:

• 1 baguette or rustic bread, sliced

• 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dip:

• In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, and fennel seeds.

• Let it sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

• (Optional) Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top just before serving.

2. Prepare the Bread:

• Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

• Brush bread slices with olive oil or melted butter.

• Bake for 5-7 minutes until warm and slightly crispy.

3. Serve & Enjoy:

• Pour the olive oil dip onto a shallow plate or serving dish.

• Serve with warm bread for dipping.
