Ingredients
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• ½ cup brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp salt
• 1 cup white chocolate chunks
• 1 cup chopped cherries (fresh, frozen, or maraschino, drained and patted dry)
Instructions
1. Preheat Oven
• Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
• Line a baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
2. Prepare the Batter
• In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
• Add in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
• Mix in the vanilla extract.
3. Mix Dry Ingredients
• In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
• Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
4. Fold in the Add-ins
• Gently fold in the white chocolate chunks and chopped cherries.
5. Bake
• Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
• Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
6. Cool & Slice
• Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.
Tips
• If using maraschino cherries, make sure to drain and pat them dry to avoid excess moisture.
• For extra richness, drizzle melted white chocolate on top after baking
