Easy Molasses Buns

Ingredients:

• 3 cups all-purpose flour

• 2 tsp baking powder

• ½ tsp baking soda

• ½ tsp salt

• ½ cup brown sugar

• ½ cup butter (softened)

• ½ cup molasses

• ½ cup milk

• 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

• ½ tsp cinnamon or ginger (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and brown sugar.

3. Cut in butter: Add the softened butter and mix with your hands or a fork until crumbly.

4. Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix molasses, milk, and vanilla extract.

5. Form the dough: Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms.

6. Shape the buns: Lightly flour your hands, take portions of the dough, and roll into small balls. Flatten slightly and place on the baking sheet.

7. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the buns are golden brown and firm to the touch.

8. Cool & enjoy: Let them cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
