Crispy Cheesy Breadsticks with a Savory Twist

Ingredients:

• 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)

• 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Parmesan, or mozzarella)

• 1 tbsp butter, melted

• 1 tsp garlic powder

• ½ tsp Italian seasoning (or dried oregano/basil)

• ½ tsp black pepper

• ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy twist)

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.

3. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

4. Add cheese: Spread shredded cheese evenly over half of the pastry. Fold the other half over to cover the cheese.

5. Cut into strips: Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, slice into ½-inch (1 cm) wide strips.

6. Twist & bake: Take each strip, twist it gently, and place it on the baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden and crispy.
