Cinnamon  Apple  Cake Recipe

Here’s a delicious Cinnamon Apple Cake recipe!

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

• 2 cups all-purpose flour

• 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

• ½ teaspoon baking soda

• ½ teaspoon salt

• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

• ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

• ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

• ¾ cup granulated sugar

• ½ cup brown sugar, packed

• 2 large eggs

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• ½ cup sour cream (or plain yogurt)

• 2 cups peeled, chopped apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

For the Topping:

• ¼ cup brown sugar

• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

• ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat & Prepare Pan:

• Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

• Grease a 9-inch round or square baking pan.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients:

• In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

3. Cream Butter & Sugars:

• In a separate bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

• Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

• Mix in vanilla extract and sour cream.

4. Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients:

• Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

• Fold in the chopped apples.

5. Prepare Topping:

• In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts.

6. Assemble & Bake:

• Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the topping evenly over it.

• Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7. Cool & Serve:

• Let cool before slicing. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or caramel drizzle!
