Ingredients:

• 1 lb ground beef

• 1 small onion, diced

• 2 cloves garlic, minced

• 4 cups potatoes, thinly sliced (about 3-4 medium potatoes)

• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

• 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of cheddar soup)

• 1 cup milk

• ½ teaspoon salt

• ½ teaspoon black pepper

• ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)

• ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

• 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional, for extra cheesiness)

• ½ cup crushed Ritz crackers or breadcrumbs (optional topping)

Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven:

• Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Cook the Ground Beef:

• In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.

• Add onion and garlic, sautéing for 2 minutes. Drain excess grease.

3. Make the Sauce:

• In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

4. Assemble the Casserole:

• Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish.
