Ingredients
For the Brownie Layer:
• 6 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
• ¾ cup granulated sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 large eggs
• ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• ½ cup all-purpose flour
• ¼ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp baking powder
For the Cheesecake Layer:
• 8 oz (225g) cream cheese (softened)
• ¼ cup granulated sugar
• 1 egg
• ½ tsp vanilla extract
Optional Topping:
• ¼ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat & Prepare
• Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
• Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. Make the Brownie Batter
• In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth.
• Add vanilla and eggs, mixing well.
• Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until combined.
3. Make the Cheesecake Layer
• In another bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
• Add egg and vanilla, beating until creamy.
4. Assemble the Layers
• Pour ¾ of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
• Gently spread the cheesecake mixture on top.
• Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake layer and swirl with a toothpick or knife.
• Sprinkle chocolate chips on top (optional).
5. Bake
• Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set.
• Let cool completely before slicing.
