Cheese Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.

3️⃣ Add Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, and melted butter.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until just combined.

4️⃣ Fold in Cheese

  • Gently fold in the shredded cheese and Parmesan (if using).

5️⃣ Bake

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

6️⃣ Cool & Serve

  • Let the bread cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions.
