Biscuits and  Gravy with  Sausage and Egg Breakfast Casserole

Here’s a hearty Biscuits and Gravy with Sausage and Egg Breakfast Casserole—perfect for a family breakfast or brunch!

Ingredients:

For the Casserole:

• 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits (like Pillsbury Grands)

• 1 lb (450g) breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)

• 6 large eggs

• ½ cup milk

• ½ tsp salt

• ½ tsp black pepper

• ½ tsp garlic powder

• ½ tsp onion powder

• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

For the Gravy:

• 3 tbsp butter

• 3 tbsp all-purpose flour

• 2 cups whole milk

• ½ tsp salt

• ½ tsp black pepper

• ½ tsp ground sage (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Biscuits

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Cut biscuits into quarters and spread them evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Cook the Sausage

3. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain excess fat.

Step 3: Make the Egg Mixture

4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Step 4: Assemble the Casserole

5. Spread cooked sausage evenly over the biscuit pieces.

6. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and biscuits.

7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Step 5: Bake

8. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes, or until eggs are set and biscuits are golden brown.

Step 6: Make the Gravy

9. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.

10. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until thickened (about 5 minutes).

11. Season with salt, black pepper, and sage (if using).

Step 7: Serve

12. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve with warm sausage gravy on top.
