Reese’s Peanut Butter Balls are the perfect sweet treat—creamy peanut butter coated in chocolate, just like the classic candy but homemade! Here’s how to make them:
Reese’s Peanut Butter Balls
Yields: About 20–24 balls
Prep Time: 15 min
Chill Time: 1 hour
Ingredients:
• 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
• 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
• 2 cups powdered sugar
• 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
• 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or milk chocolate, your choice)
• 1 tbsp vegetable oil (or coconut oil, for smoother coating)
Instructions:
1. Make the peanut butter filling:
In a bowl, mix peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, and graham cracker crumbs. Stir until smooth and well combined. The mixture should be thick and easy to roll.
2. Form the balls:
Roll the peanut butter mixture into 1-inch balls (about 20–24). Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Chill in the fridge for 30–60 minutes to firm them up.
3. Coat with chocolate:
While the peanut butter balls chill, melt the chocolate chips with vegetable oil. You can melt them in the microwave (30-second intervals) or over a double boiler.
4. Dip the peanut butter balls:
Once chilled, dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, coating them completely. Use a fork to help dip and remove them without making a mess.
5. Chill again:
Place the chocolate-covered peanut butter balls back on the parchment paper and chill in the fridge for another 30 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.
6. Serve and enjoy:
Once fully set, your Reese’s Peanut Butter Balls are ready to enjoy! Store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
Tips:
• For a smoother coating, add a little more oil to the chocolate.
• Try drizzling extra chocolate over them for a decorative touch!
