Here’s an Easy Chinese Egg Rolls recipe that’s simple and delicious!
Ingredients:
• 1 lb ground pork (or chicken/shrimp)
• 2 cups coleslaw mix (or shredded cabbage & carrots)
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tsp sesame oil
• 1 tsp ginger, grated
• 1 green onion, finely chopped
• 1 pack (about 20) egg roll wrappers
• 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
• Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Filling:
• In a pan over medium heat, cook the ground pork until browned.
• Add garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger, then stir in the coleslaw mix. Cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
• Remove from heat and mix in green onions. Let cool slightly.
2. Assemble the Egg Rolls:
• Place an egg roll wrapper in a diamond shape.
• Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling near the bottom corner.
• Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides.
• Roll tightly and seal the edge with beaten egg.
3. Fry the Egg Rolls:
• Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
• Fry egg rolls in batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
• Drain on paper towels.
4. Serve:
• Enjoy with sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, or spicy mustard!
