Instructions:

1. Cook the Steak:

1. Take the steaks out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature.

2. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and butter.

4. Sear the steaks for about 3-4 minutes per side (for medium-rare) or longer depending on your preferred doneness.

5. Remove from the skillet and let the steaks rest while making the sauce.
