GARLIC MUSHROOMS AND BROCCOLI

Ingredients

• 2 cups broccoli florets

• 1 cup mushrooms (button or cremini), sliced

• 3 cloves garlic, minced

• 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

• 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional, for extra flavor)

• ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

• Salt and black pepper to taste

• 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for freshness)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Vegetables:

1. Wash and cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets.

2. Slice the mushrooms.

2. Cook the Broccoli:

3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.

4. Add the broccoli and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until it starts to soften but is still bright green. Remove from the pan and set aside.

3. Cook the Mushrooms and Garlic:

5. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the pan.

6. Add the mushrooms and cook for about 3 minutes until they start to brown.

7. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

4. Combine and Season:

8. Return the broccoli to the pan, add soy sauce (if using), red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir everything together.

9. Cook for another 2 minutes until everything is well coated and heated through.

10. Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice if desired.

• Serve as a side dish with grilled chicken, steak, or fish.

• Toss it with cooked pasta or rice for a quick meal.
