• ½ cup brown sugar

• 2 eggs

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• 2 cups all-purpose flour

• 1 tsp baking powder

• ½ tsp salt

• 1 cup white chocolate chunks

• 1 cup chopped cherries (fresh, frozen, or maraschino, drained and patted dry)

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

• Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).

• Line a baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.

2. Prepare the Batter

• In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

• Add in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

• Mix in the vanilla extract.

3. Mix Dry Ingredients

• In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

• Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

4. Fold in the Add-ins

• Gently fold in the white chocolate chunks and chopped cherries.

5. Bake

• Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.

• Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

6. Cool & Slice

• Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.

Tips

• If using maraschino cherries, make sure to drain and pat them dry to avoid excess moisture.

• For extra richness, drizzle melted white chocolate on top after baking
