STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE DUMP

Ingredients:

  • For the Cake:
  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • For Garnish:
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Additional strawberries (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture:
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  1. Layer Ingredients:
  • Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly on the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry filling.
  1. Add Strawberries (if using):
  • Sprinkle the fresh or frozen sliced strawberries over the cream cheese layer.
  1. Cake Mix Topping:
  • Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the entire dish. Do not mix it in; just let it sit on top.
  1. Pour Butter:
  • Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix layer.
  1. Bake:
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  1. Serve:
  • Let it cool slightly before serving. Top with whipped cream and additional strawberries if desired.
