Pecan Praline Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

• 1 box (15.25 oz) butter pecan cake mix

• 1 cup chopped pecans

• 1 cup milk

• ½ cup vegetable oil

• 4 large eggs

• 1 tub (16 oz) coconut pecan frosting (for mixing into the batter)

For the Praline Glaze:

• ½ cup unsalted butter

• 1 cup brown sugar, packed

• ¼ cup heavy cream

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• ½ cup chopped pecans

Instructions:

Step 1: Make the Cake

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or bundt pan.

2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, milk, and coconut pecan frosting. Mix until smooth.

3. Stir in chopped pecans.

4. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.

5. Bake for 35–40 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean).

6. Let the cake cool while you make the praline glaze.

Step 2: Make the Praline Glaze

1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

2. Stir in brown sugar and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and stir until sugar dissolves (about 2–3 minutes).

3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and pecans.

Step 3: Assemble & Serve

1. Pour the warm praline glaze over the slightly cooled cake.

2. Let it set for a few minutes before serving.

3. Slice and enjoy!
