Here’s a unique and amazing way to make cinnamon rolls that will surprise you! Instead of the usual method, we’re making soft, caramelized, pull-apart cinnamon rolls using a special technique.
Amazing Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
For the dough:
• 2 ½ cups (310g) all-purpose flour
• 2 tbsp sugar
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) instant yeast
• ¾ cup (180ml) warm milk
• 2 tbsp melted butter
• 1 egg
For the filling:
• ⅓ cup (65g) brown sugar
• 1 tbsp cinnamon
• 2 tbsp softened butter
For the caramel glaze (the secret twist!):
• ½ cup (100g) brown sugar
• 3 tbsp butter
• 3 tbsp heavy cream or milk
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Dough
1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
2. Add melted butter, egg, flour, and salt. Knead for 8 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
2. Make the Caramel Glaze (Secret Trick!)
1. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Add cream and stir until smooth.
2. Pour this caramel glaze into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
3. Shape the Cinnamon Rolls
1. Roll out the dough into a rectangle (about ¼-inch thick).
2. Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon.
3. Roll tightly into a log and cut into 8-10 rolls.
4. Assemble and Bake
1. Place the rolls on top of the caramel glaze in the baking dish.
2. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
5. Flip for the Surprise Effect!
• Immediately after baking, flip the pan upside down onto a plate. The caramel sauce on the bottom will drip over the rolls, making them extra gooey and delicious!
