For the Cake:
8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Glaze (optional):
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1-2 tablespoons milk or cream
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Be cautious not to overmix.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared springform pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool: Let the cake cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before removing the sides of the pan.
Make the Glaze (optional): In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk or cream until smooth.
Glaze the Cake (optional): Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
Tips & Variations:
For a Richer Flavor: Use full-fat cream cheese for a creamier texture.
Add-Ins: Mix in 1 cup of chopped nuts, 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, or 1 cup of fresh or frozen berries for added flavor and texture.
No-Bake Option: Omit the baking step and chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until it sets completely.
